The Cook County Clerk’s Office is teaming up with the Chicago White Sox to offer Cook County veterans and active-duty military personnel a free ticket to a regular-season White Sox game for the 2024 season.

Veterans who sign up for the Clerk’s Veterans Discount Card program, or those who are already enrolled in the program, are being offered one free ticket for a weekday White Sox game.

All Cook County Veterans, active-duty personnel, national guard, reservists, and other members of the military can apply for the free Military and Veterans Discount Program. The card provides veterans with discounts on a wide range of services at businesses including home improvement, dining, auto repair, health and fitness, and more.

The White Sox join dozens of business partners who have teamed up with the Clerk’s Office of Veterans Affairs to offer military and veterans discounts at restaurants, museums, retail shops, and more. Businesses are encouraged to consider enrolling in the program to support veterans and members of the military living and working in Cook County.

The White Sox ticket offer is good for home games played on Monday through Thursday. The offer excludes tickets for games on June 24, 25, and 26 as well as August 12, 13, and 14.

Veterans who already have the discount card can present it on the game day of their choice at the Box Office windows at Gate 4 (windows 1-9) at Guaranteed Rate Field within two hours of game time to receive their complimentary ticket.

Applications for the discount program can be completed online at cookcountyclerk.com/veterans, by mail, or at the Clerk’s Veterans Affairs Office, located at 118 N. Clark in Chicago. The office is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

When applying, Veterans should bring their DD-214, Retired Military Card, Illinois Driver’s License, or State ID – with Veterans Designation. To make an appointment or for further information call 312-603-5788.
