Robert James Fischer was one of the greatest chess players of all time. He learned to play chess at the age of six, became the youngest U.S. national junior chess champion at the age of 13, and was the youngest Senior U.S. Champion at the age of 14. At 15, he became the youngest Grand Master in the history of chess. Fischer was the first American to win the World Championship and is still considered to be one of the most gifted chess players, ever.
