Pat Sajak, born Patrick Leonard Sajdak, is the long-time host of the game show, Wheel of Fortune. Sajak began his broadcasting career as an English announcer on Spanish radio in 1966 with a five-minute hourly newscast. He then joined the U.S. Army, and while serving in Vietnam he deejayed on Armed Forces Radio as the "Good Morning, Vietnam" disc jockey. In 1981, after working as a TV weatherman in Nashville and LA, he was offered a job as emcee of Wheel of Fortune. Sajak accepted and continues to host Wheel of Fortune today.
